How We Work Together

Our multidisciplinary approach ensures every patient benefits from the collective expertise of our team.

Step 1

Referral and Assessment

When your referral is received, our team reviews your medical history and diagnostic results to prepare for your first consultation. We aim to see urgent referrals within two weeks.

Step 2

Multidisciplinary Team Review

Your case is discussed at our weekly MDT meeting, where oncologists, radiologists, pathologists and specialist nurses collaboratively determine the most effective treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.

Step 3

Treatment and Monitoring

Your treatment is delivered by our specialist nursing and radiotherapy teams with ongoing monitoring and support from your clinical nurse specialist. We adjust your plan as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Step 4

Follow-Up and Aftercare

After treatment, our team provides structured follow-up care including regular check-ups, survivorship planning and access to ongoing support services to help you rebuild your life after cancer.

The team at Sussex Cancer Centre were exceptional throughout my treatment. From my consultant to the chemotherapy nurses and support staff, everyone was professional, compassionate and genuinely caring. I felt supported at every stage of my journey.
